Virgin Gorda is one of those places you go to relax
and enjoy a slower pace of life. The entire island is fringed by nearly deserted
coral sand beaches, gently sloping into beautiful, caribbean-blue waters. If you'd
rather not spend your entire tropical vacation on the beach, there are a myriad
of activities available for all ages.
How about a hike to the top of Gorda Peak National
Park site for one of the most spectacular views in the Virgin Islands. One of our
favorite ways to enjoy Nature's Little Secrets is a day on the water with Dive BVI, located at the Virgin Gorda Yacht
Harbor and Leverick Bay in the North Sound. They will outfit you for snorkel or
scuba and take you on a fantastic journey. Many visitors enjoy a trip to the Baths
on Virgin Gorda's western shore. There you'll find a trail among huge granite boulders,
stacked and strewn about into a playful maze.
Visit the Copper Mine, standing on a prominence on
Virgin Gorda's the southeastern tip. Spend time outdoors on a deck or patio, cooled
by gentle breezes while you watch sails float by on the horizon, taking advantage
of the ever present Caribbean Trade Winds.
